Description:

Laboratory Workshop on the Preparation of Strand-Specific  RNASeq Libraries

Description: Under the instruction of New England Biolabs experts, attendees will prepare directional RNASeq libraries from their own RNA utilizing the NEDNext Ultra Directional RNA library prep kit which results in strand-specific sequence. The prepared multiplex samples will be sequenced on the HiSeq2500. All reagents except your RNA will be provided. This is a fantastic opportunity to discuss technical details while preparing your won strand- specific libraries.

This day and a half laboratory workshop will include:
* An overview of directinal RNASeq preparation
*QC of your RNA samples prior to library prep
*Hands-on prep of multiplex, strand-specific DNA libraries
*Sequencing and QC of participant libraries to gauge sucess
*Lunch will be provided.

Sponsored by IIGB ain partnership with NEw England Biolabs

This is a hands-on workshop, so attendance will be limited to 24 participants only. Attendees must have two RNA samples ready for library preparation. Multiple attendees per lab will be permitted if space is available.

To apply for attendancem please provide your name and PI name via email to gencore@ucr.edu. We will send you a follw up questionnaire. There is a $200 materials fee per registrant.
